Infront secures exclusive marketing agreement with Germany’s easyCredit BBL

New partnership of top European basketball league includes marketing of all central league packages

Frankfurt/Cologne, Germany - Infront and Germany's easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga (BBL) have reinforced their partnership, signing an exclusive marketing agreement for the 2023/24 season. The collaboration means Infront will now manage the marketing for all central sponsorship packages for the competition. The two parties have previously worked together on a non-exclusive basis with Infront securing the most recent title sponsorship of the competition.

The partnership covers a range of sports sponsorship packages, including the naming rights and extensive advertising opportunities during easyCredit BBL match days. Furthermore, Infront will serve as a strategic partner, fostering the competition's sustainability initiatives and nurturing young talent. This effort all aligns with the shared vision of promoting the continuous growth of the league.

Stefan Holz, Managing Director of the easyCredit BBL said: "We appreciate very much that we have a powerful and reliable partner at our side in Infront." The league has undergone an extensive brand repositioning, building on its "Welcome to Wow" ethos since 2021. Brand presence is focused on topics such as lifestyle, fashion and hip-hop, making it a "differentiator for basketball compared to other sports.”

About the easyCredit BBL

The easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga is the umbrella organisation for the 18 teams in Germany's top basketball division and organises the German Championship and the BBL Cup. The operational business is managed by Basketball Bundesliga GmbH. It is responsible for the organisational management of the competitions and the match scheduling. BBL GmbH also handles licensing and player transfers. In addition, easyCredit BBL creates the strategic framework for the clubs' sporting and economic development and is responsible for the central marketing of the naming rights and media rights.
