Milan, Italy - San Carlo, the Italian number one in the chips and snacks industry, has announced a collaboration with the Italian Winter Sports Federation (FISI) to supply its products to the athletes and all the staff of the federation. In addition, San Carlo will provide financial support to the Italian teams and the FUTURFISI project, a programme to support young Italian winter sports talent. FUTURFISI will be featured by San Carlo as title sponsor. The comprehensive agreement was negotiated by Infront Sports & Media, marketing partner and advisor to FISI.

The San Carlo FUTURFISI project is an interdisciplinary project that allows a select number of athletes between the age of 14 and 20 to participate in structured support programs with professional methods. The project’s key objectives include: interdisciplinary and economic sustainability, transparency and local involvement, identification and individual advancement of talent as well as training and advanced education of technicians.

Mentoring through former winter sports elite

Thanks to San Carlo’s engagement, from this year onwards, the young athletes can count on exceptional mentors. The former athletes have made history in winter sports and can offer the young athletes advice not only on sports, but also on social and personal aspects. The mentoring pool – still in the expanding phase – currently includes Gabriella Paruzzi, multiple Olympic medal winner in cross-country, and Armin Zoeggeler, the only athlete in the world that has won six Olympic medals in a row in luge.
