Subscribers of US-focused streaming platform created by Infront increase by over 40 percent from previous year

Zug, Switzerland – Ski & Snowboard Live, the exclusive streaming platform and broadcaster of FIS World Cup and World Championship events in the US, increased its sign-ups by more than 40 percent over the 2023/24 season compared to the previous year.

Since its inception, Ski & Snowboard Live, which runs on Infront’s Stream Engine, has streamed almost 600 events live and on-demand, providing fans with unprecedented access to FIS World Cup and World Championship events. There were over one million visits to the channel this season with 88 percent of content watched on-demand, highlighting the platform's flexibility and viewer's preference for watching at their convenience. The most-watched event was the women’s giant slalom in Tremblant, Canada and over 305,000 hours of content was watched in total across the season.

Damian Browarnik, Managing Director at Infront Lab, said: “We were keen to take our learnings from Ski & Snowboard Live’s first year and adapt the product to suit what fans were asking for. This resulted in the launch of new apps for iOS, Android, Apple TV and Android TV in 2023/24 as well as a yearly pass, offering unlimited access to content. The flexibility of Stream Engine allowed us to adjust to fans needs and, as a result, we have seen an uptick in revenue.”

Ski & Snowboard Live's remarkable growth is underpinned by Infront’s Stream Engine, a cornerstone for custom-built OTT solutions that opens new markets and delivers tailored viewing experiences.

Stream Engine enables sport organisations to control the viewing journey from end-to-end, building a branded platform quickly and cost efficiently.

The Engines 365 suite enhances this foundation, offering sports organisations unmatched content and fan engagement control through four integral products: Activation Engine, Content Engine, Insight Engine, and Template Engine.

Leveraging these, Ski & Snowboard Live has innovatively engaged fans via Activation Engine, tracked performance with Insight Engine, and created highlights through Content Engine, showcasing our holistic approach to digital engagement and technology's role in driving success.
