Munich, Germany - Infront Sports & Media is to become exclusive marketing partner of TSV 1860 München with immediate effect. Since 2013, the international sports marketing company has been supporting HI2 Sports, the club’s previous marketing partner, with nationwide sales support, playing an essential role in securing the current main sponsor, Volkswagen brand Think Blue. The agreement follows HI2’s decision to reduce its capacities and transfer the marketing rights back to the TSV München von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA.
Infront will handle the entire marketing portfolio of the club. Rights include high-profile sponsorship packages such as the main and shirt sponsorship as well as highly visible stadium advertising opportunities. Furthermore, Infront is to market the versatile hospitality programme available for home matches in the Allianz Arena. HI2 will however continue to handle merchandise licensing.
The negotiations between Infront and the club were initiated in the summer of 2014. Markus Rejek, Managing Director of TSV 1860 München, was very pleased with the outcome: “The negotiations were highly constructive and cooperative and we are delighted with this new long-term partnership. Infront offers us optimal planning security through marketing revenues, which is an important step for the future of our club. The task is to increase sponsorship revenues significantly, and to achieve this, we had to change the marketing set-up. Infront offers an extensive network and profound marketing experience, which we intend to benefit from."

In order to ensure a close cooperation with the club, Infront plans to locate a dedicated marketing team at the TSV 1860 München office in the near future. The team will be supported by Infront Germany headquarters in Frankfurt as well as by the national and international sales network of the company.
