Exclusive partnership signed five years ahead of renewal

Mainz, Germany – German Bundesliga football club FSV Mainz 05 has extended its exclusive marketing agreement with Infront until 2031, five years before the current agreement expires.

Infront is responsible for jersey sponsorship, stadium naming rights, board advertising at home games and comprehensive hospitality services at Mainz 05's home, the OPEL ARENA. The new agreement also includes the right to market the youth training centre as well as the esport, handball and table tennis teams.

The aim is to develop the club's inventory and further promote Mainz 05's brand both nationally and globally.

Infront Germany Managing Director Reinhardt Weinberger said: “Mainz 05 has established itself in the Bundesliga in recent years, developing into a strong brand that is popular beyond its traditional fans. The long-term partnership gives us the opportunity to continue to promote this sustainable development on the marketing side. We thank the club for its trust and cooperation over the past five years and look forward to the next 11.”

Mainz 05 Commercial Director Jan Lehmann said: "The early extension of the contract by another six years underlines the cooperation and trust between Mainz 05 and Infront. Over the past year we were able to take our collaboration to a new level and improve processes, growing closer as partners. After pushing ahead with our own strategic planning and analysing our various options we are pleased that we can expand this partnership."

Infront is simultaneously strengthening its portfolio in club football, which currently consists of 10 marketing mandates from the Bundesliga to the third division.
