Growing since 2004

The running series, and especially the race in Munich, have experienced a significant growth over the past few years. The first run took place in 2004 and saw 2,500 employees take part, with participant numbers increasing by approximately 1,200% since then. Since 2008, the Munich event has been sold out every year. This is a clear indication that top brands believe corporate runs are key to improving employee satisfaction and team spirit within the company, helping retain talent.

On Wednesday, a joint press conference with B2Run and its partner energy provider E.ON will be held in Nürnberg to present the sold out event set to take place on 24 July in the Bavarian city. It also provides an opportunity to discuss the latest developments on the neutral climate approach that B2Run and E.ON have worked on over the last two years. The aim of the joint-environmental commitment is to reduce CO2 emissions and offset CO2 released through selected climate protection projects in Mali and Costa Rica. For the second year in a row, B2Run achieved a net zero carbon footprint for the entire series thanks to its collaboration with E.ONDuring the 2017 season, over 1,800 tonnes of CO2 were offset.
