SRG SSR prolongation secures flagship winter sports event coverage in Switzerland

Swiss public broadcaster continues to provide comprehensive live coverage across key disciplines

Zug, Switzerland – Infront, a Wanda Sports Group company, has sealed comprehensive media rights agreements with Swiss public broadcaster SRG SSR for key International Ski Federation (FIS), International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) and World Curling Federation (WCF) events, securing winter sports coverage across all of SRG's platforms.

The partnership includes all FIS events outside Switzerland and Austria, granting SRF, RTS, RSI and RTR the right to broadcast all international FIS World Cup races live until the end of the 2025/26 season. 

It also extends the exclusive media rights to the FIS Alpine and FIS Nordic World Ski Championships as well as the FIS Snowboard, Freestyle and Freeski World Championships. As part of the agreement SRG SSR has also acquired the rights to a comprehensive live and highlight broadcast covering all competitions until at least 2025.

A prolongation to SRG SSR’s media rights package for the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship was also agreed, allowing the broadcaster to cover all Swiss national team games throughout the tournament as well as playoff games live and exclusive on free-to-air broadcast and online until at least 2028.

The live and highlight media rights to both the World and European Curling Championships were also extended granting SRG SSR the right to broadcast both events throughout Switzerland until the end of the 2025/26 season.
