Infront celebrated its 20th year in 2022. Three members of our team reflect on how the company has changed over the decades.

Infront has always been all about sports. We believe in the power of sport to bring people together. It's a force that transcends borders and barriers, uniting billions of fans and participants from all walks of life every year.

In 2023, we celebrate 20 years in the sport business. We’ve been pioneers in sports marketing for the last two decades and see it as our role to act as a trusted partner for brands and rights holders, helping them to connect with and build their audiences, and to grow their presence and impact.

New call-to-action

Andreas Biffiger, who works in our Zug office, began working at Infront in 2003, steadily working his way up to become Head of FIBA Marketing.

"Infront has always offered me wonderful opportunities, including the chance to work abroad in China for two years. I've grown within the company from an intern to a senior position, and I've been fortunate enough to work on some amazing events like the FIFA World Cup and the FIBA Basketball World Cup.

“The company has changed significantly since the management change in 2006, but we've always had the ability to reinvent ourselves and offer a stable work environment. Infront has both its clients and staff at its heart, and it's a great place to work - I've never had the urge to leave the company in 20 years."

Stefano Deantoni works out of Infront Italy in Milan, joining the company when we acquired Media Partners in 2007.

“Infront has been an incredible workplace with many different colleagues and cultures from around the world. The simplicity of working relationships and ease of communication at every hierarchical level are an incentive to collaborate and share every opportunity for the company's growth. Despite the different acquisitions, Infront has always maintained its identity and style of management both with employees and with customers, and this has contributed to consolidating its leadership.

“I have also had the opportunity to travel a lot and assist at incredible sport events. The one I remember most fondly is the Bormio 2007 FIS Ski World Cup Finals, my first international event.

The 2016 UEFA EURO is another memory close to my heart as Infront was the marketing advisor for Italy and I was the project manager. I also had the opportunity to manage many other marketing projects in so many different sports, from volleyball to football, horse riding, basketball, winter sports, running and cycling.

“Many colleagues are now best friends and I'm grateful to have been a part of this company for so many years."

Isabelle Kaufmann has been part of Infront since 2002 and is based out of the company’s HQ in Zug. She has spent the last 20 years focused on marketing and branding many of the sports events Infront works with globally.

“What has been truly rewarding for me is having been given the opportunity to work on many diverse marketing and branding projects relating to a number of major sports events including the FIFA World Cups and the IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships to name a few. Collaborating with colleagues from different teams and countries has always been motivating and rewarding and allowed me to constantly develop and learn.

I’m looking forward to what the future may hold.”

This marks the first story in our “Hall of Heritage” series where we look back at the history of Infront and its world of sport.
