Bauhaus extends its handball commitment signing up to the 2016 EHF EUROs

2 min read

Zug, Switzerland - Infront Sports & Media, exclusive media and marketing partner of the European Handball Federation for the EHF EUROs, has closed another official sponsorship agreement for 2016, with Bauhaus extending for both the men’s and women’s edition. The European workshop, house and garden specialist is a long-term partner of the event, and will again be present alongside the tournaments in Poland (15-31 January 2016, men’s event) and Sweden (4–18 December 2016, women’s event).

Besides Bauhaus, the Official Sponsor line-up will feature a maximum of a further seven brands, including AJ (mail order office furniture, materials handling and storage solutions) and Intersport (sporting goods retailer) – already confirmed. Thanks to a streamlined marketing concept that Infront initiated in 2012, sponsors benefit from a clear and recognisable advertising platform that guarantees high exclusivity. The brands all receive high profile exposure in TV camera view, such as through advertising around the court on LED boards, floor stickers and static boards behind the goal. This is complemented by further brand communications opportunities including activation on site and corporate hospitality.

Platform continuously developed

Stefan Wolsiffer, member of the management of Bauhaus, commented: “The EHF EUROs have always provided us with excellent exposure to reach out to our key sales markets across Central and Northern Europe. As the platform is constantly evolving and being continuously enhanced, in areas such as advertising technology, exclusivity for sponsors, TV and digital reach – the prolongation of our long-term partnership with Infront was a logical next step in our long-term commitment to European handball.”

Stephan Herth, Executive Director Summer Sports at Infront, commented: “Following the Bauhaus extension with the EHF EUROs, the communication impact of the events is confirmed by yet another commitment from a leader in their industry – making use of the events’ high visibility. In 2014, the men’s and women’s tournaments generated the highest exposure ever for national team handball in Europe, totalling 4,252 broadcast hours in around 150 countries and territories.”
