Infront secures another exclusive media partner for the pan-European club ice hockey competition broadcasting in high definition television

Zug, Switzerland – Infront Sports & Media, the exclusive commercial partner of the Champions Hockey League, has signed another media rights agreement for the Champions Hockey League. For the 2014/15 season, SlovakSport.TV will hold exclusive broadcasting rights in Slovakia and the Czech Republic.

With the Czech Republic, Infront has secured extensive broadcast coverage for another home region of the new Pan-European competition. In total, six teams from the Czech Extraliga are participating in the Champions Hockey League, now competing on a Pan-European level against the best clubs from Sweden, Switzerland, Finland, Germany, Austria as well as other countries with a wild card.

SlovakSport.TV is a private sports broadcaster operating in both countries, Slovakia and the Czech Republic. The rights package acquired from Infront includes live, delayed and highlights transmission on all platforms including terrestrial, cable, broadband internet and mobile rights on a free and/or pay basis. The games will all be broadcasted in high definition on the two private and one free sports channels SlovakSport.TV1, SlovakSport.TV2, SlovakSport.TV3 – with Slovak and Czech commentary respectively.

In addition, SlovakSport.TV will handle media production for all home games of the Slovakian Wild Card team HC Košice and approximately 20 games of the Czech teams. These operations will be guided by Infront’s high standards and specifications for HD production.
