Zug, Switzerland – Infront Sports & Media has appointed Sven Biner as new Director of its Sports Services unit. In this position he will be responsible for the Group’s comprehensive and well-established Sports Services portfolio, including Broadcaster Servicing, Live Advertising Solutions, Sponsorship and Hospitality Services.
Sven Biner will assume his position from 1 April 2015, contributing his extensive sports marketing experience and a broad network across the industry. The 38-year old joins Infront from his position as Senior Asset Manager for Global Sports Marketing at adidas (sports equipment), where he is currently in charge for managing and developing the FC Bayern München partnership and for driving the internal LED and digital overlay task force. Previously, Sven Biner has worked for the UEFA EURO™ 2008 and 2012 in Hospitality Services Management. Further job roles include Head of Sales & Sponsoring at Octagon, as well as Product Manager at Intersport (sports retailer) and Salomon (sports equipment).
Sven Biner takes over from Thomas Lessenich who will now – as previously announced – fully focus on his new position as Managing Director of the AspireInfront joint venture in Qatar. Sven will report to Dr. Uwe Ploch, member of Infront’s Extended Management Team.
