New sponsors for flagship FIS events to benefit from global coverage across 40 broadcasters and 175 countries
Zug, Switzerland – The FIS Alpine World Ski Championships and FIS Nordic World Ski Championships will welcome new sponsors and familiar partners when they take place in Åre, Sweden from 4 February-17 February and Seefeld, Austria from 19 February-3 March respectively.
For this year's editions of both events Infront has sold all international sponsoring packages.
Broadcasting the best skiing action globally
As the flagship events of the Alpine and Nordic seasons, television audiences are expected to be substantial with both World Ski Championships set to be broadcast globally to 175 countries through 40 broadcasters.
For the first time Infront is the host broadcaster for both events, responsible for the full delivery of media production including the running of the international broadcast centre and all broadcaster servicing.
Infront will be offering 53 hours of live coverage for the Alpine World Ski Championships and 58 hours for the Nordic World Ski Championships including action from all races, the opening and closing ceremonies as well as medal presentations.
The combined total potential households reached will be in excess of 815 million globally, with full worldwide coverage when news and highlights distribution is taken into account.
Infront is collaborating up with SVT in Sweden for the Alpine World Ski Championships and production will be done remotely for the first time. Over 150 people will help deliver 80 camera signals from the course to three broadcast control rooms in Stockholm.
The Nordic World Ski Championships in Seefeld will see ORF and Infront collaborate in what will be a new benchmark for quality and delivery for the event.

New partners joining familiar brands
The Alpine World Ski Championships sees Swedish leisure and retail company SkiStar introduced as the Presenting Sponsor with sports betting company Unibet also supporting as Main Sponsor for the first time. They join Audi, Pirelli, Liqui Moly, Bauhaus, Helvetia and Longines (Timing Partner) as Main Sponsors.All eight partners will benefit from increased exposure through new soft LED lighting banners in the finishing area. The new boards guarantee better visibility for sponsors in all light conditions. They will also be used in future Audi FIS Alpine Ski World Cup races for the 2019/20 season as well as during the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships 2021 in Cortina d'Ampezzo.
Paper industry company Stora Enso leads the long list of partners for the Nordic World Ski Championships as Presenting Sponsor. They are joined by Main Sponsors Haier, Unibet, Manner and Junghans (Timing Partner) who all signed new agreements for the event, as well as returning brands Viessmann, Intersport, Liqui Moly, Helvetia and Le Gruyere.
Innovation and sustainability were key drivers in the preparation of in-venue advertising with wooden start and finish installations and dimmable LED split time tools along the cross-country track.
Social media to benefit from high-quality production
Infront will be delivering its media production service to both World Ski Championships for the second time, ensuring a high-class product for all partners.
Furthermore, Infront will support host broadcasters ORF and SVT with exclusive content for its social media channels for the first time, giving fans a glimpse of the event from a different angle. Short-form content and infographics will be provided, taking the spirit of both events from the snow to fans’ social media streams.
