KEY FACTS
Freeride skiing and snowboarding is one of the most spectacular snowsport disciplines: no course, no clock, every athlete has their chance to trace the most thrilling route down the mountain.
Each year, the best 18 male and female riders in the world compete on the Freeride World Tour in some of the most well-known mountain resorts around the world. It’s all about taking viewers off the beaten track and showing off their personal style.
The most spectacular discipline and the most beautiful scenery make the Freeride World Tour a highlight of every winter season.
In 2026, riders compete in the first five stops to qualify for the Freeride World Tour Finals in Verbier (SUI) with the eventual winners crowned as crowned as World Champions
SCHEDULING
Season runs from DECEMBER/JANUARY – MARCH/APRIL.
5 to 6 events per season.
Live Competition windows work with a weather window of several days. The mountain safety team will make the decision on the exact day and time of the competition.
