KEY FACTS
- Freeride skiing and snowboarding is one of the most spectacular snowsport disciplines: no course, no clock, every athlete has their chance to trace the most thrilling route down the mountain.
- Each year, the best 18 male and female riders in the world compete on the Freeride World Tour in some of the most well-known mountain resorts around the world. It’s all about taking viewers off the beaten track and showing off their personal style.
- The most spectacular discipline and the most beautiful scenery make the Freeride World Tour a highlight of every winter season.
- In 2026, riders compete in the first five stops to qualify for the Freeride World Tour Finals in Verbier (SUI) with the eventual winners crowned as crowned as World Champions
SCHEDULING
- Season runs from DECEMBER/JANUARY – MARCH/APRIL.
- 5 to 6 events per season.
- Live Competition windows work with a weather window of several days. The mountain safety team will make the decision on the exact day and time of the competition.
- 5 broadcast possibilities available:
- 3-4 HOUR LIVE PROGRAMME delivered via SRT/RTMP
- 100 MIN LIVE SUMMARY delivered 48 hours after competition day via Scoopa. English as-live commentary, no voice-over or script
- 52 MIN HIGHLIGHT SHOW delivered 4 days after competition via Scoopa, English voice-over & script
- 26 MIN MAGAZINE SHOW delivered 6 days after the last day of event, no voice-over, English & German scripts
- NEWS HIGHLIGHTS available the evening of the competition day
