    COMPETITION FORMAT & FACTS

    • 42.195 kilometres (26.2 miles) run.
    • In October 2024, the Sydney Marathon was announced as the latest new elite Abbott World Marathon Major race.
    • The only running event in Australia to be broadcast live each year, the TCS Sydney Marathon boasts over 40,000 participants from over 100 countries.
    • The race ends at the iconic Sydney Opera House.
