    PRODUCTION

    Produced with 17 cameras (including motorbikes, helicopter and special cameras) in High Definition (HD1080i/50).
    Live footage with English graphics and     (upon request) English commentary. Highlights, online content and news clips also available.

    BROADCAST SERVICING

    A dedicated team coordinates operations on-site and builds the link between broadcasters and the production operation.

    COMPETITION FORMAT

    • 42.195 km (26.2 miles) run.​
    • Course begins in front of the world-famous Colosseum and, after passing through the City Centre and the most important Eternal City monuments including St. Peter's Basilica, it ends in the Imperial Fora.​
    • Main Marathon is usually held in March, complemented by several side events.​
    • Rome Marathon is recognised as a World Athletics Silver Label Road Race.

    SCHEDULING

    • RACE is held usually in March each year.​
    • START varies between 08:00 – 10:00 CET.​
    • DURATION – the World Feed is approximately 3 hours (covering the fastest male and female runners).
