    COMPETITION FORMAT

    • 8 one-day races held every year across Belgium, plus one in the Netherlands.​
    • After 106 editions, the Tour of Flanders is internationally considered one of the five so-called “Monument Races” of professional cycling; it includes multiple key passages on cobblestones and some of the most famous “walls” in the region.​
    • The Amstel Gold Race takes place in the Netherlands and traditionally marks the turning point of the spring classics, in the Ardennes where hills replace the cobbles.​
    • 5 of the Men’s races (Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race, Dwars Door Vlaanderen, Gent-Wevelgem and Omloop 
      Het       Nieuwsblad) are part       of the UCI World Tour, the top tier circuit of international cycling.​
    • 4 of the Women’s races (Tour of Flanders, Amstel Gold Race, Gent-Wevelgem and Omloop Het 
      Nieuwsblad) are part of the UCI World Tour,       the top tier circuit of international cycling.​
