Five-season agreement between Polish broadcaster and European Volleyball Federation covers all club tournaments

Zug, Switzerland – The European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and Infront, a Wanda Sports Company and the CEV's exclusive media rights partner, have reached a new agreement with Polish broadcaster Polsat for the exclusive rights to broadcast the CEV Champions League Volley, CEV Volleyball Cup and CEV Volleyball Challenge Cup matches from the 2020/2021 to 2024/2025 seasons.

The agreement marks the first major partnership secured by Infront since expanding its long-term relationship with the CEV to include Europe's top club competitions on top of the previous scope which covered all international tournaments.

Aleksandar Boričić, CEV President, said: "Poland has been one of the best promoters of our sport through its incredible fans, a reliable and stable volleyball ecosystem and continuous competitiveness of its representatives in our competitions. We are convinced that this new partnership with Polsat will offer a new home for European club volleyball where the passionate Polish fans will be able to watch and enjoy the high-end product of our sport for the next five seasons.”

Stanisław Janowski, President of the Board at Polsat said: "I am glad that the best European club volleyball is back on Polsat. Polsat is a great friend of volleyball and its fans in Poland and I can assure them that over the next five five seasons we will show the best matches in the highest quality and technology."

Philippe Blatter, President and CEO of Infront said: "Poland has a rich volleyball heritage and is a key territory for the sport. The fans are passionate and Polsat's long-standing association with European volleyball competitions means this agreement will highly benefit supporters."

Five Polish teams will play across the three European club events this year with two other teams potentially joining them if they win their preliminary rounds. These include men's teams Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Warsaw, Bełchatów and Jastrzęsbki Węgiel as well as women’s clubs Police, Rzeszów and ŁKS Łódź.
