The former world-class biathlete will be a part of the German corporate running championship starting this season

Munich, Germany - Magdalena Neuner is the new face of the German corporate running championship B2RUN. For the 2016 season, the two-time Olympic and multiple biathlon world champion will act as an ambassador for the popular leisure sports series, competing alongside up to 190,000 recreational runners throughout Germany. Various promotional campaigns and ‘money can’t buy’ experiences are planned for her engagement - with the main focus on her proximity to the runners, interaction with the companies and in particular the team spirit.

B2NEUNER: Starting together with Magdalena Neuner

Companies participating with their staff at one of the 17 B2RUN events will be able to register by 30 April to win the “B2NEUNER Day” experience. The winning company is offered face-to-face advice from Magdalena Neuner at their own premises, where the former professional athlete will provide staff with guidance on topics such as motivation, nutrition and performance. Magdalena Neuner will then compete with the staff at the actual B2RUN event – guaranteeing attention and the additional incentive of running alongside a professional.

Magdalena Neuner knows just how important the right motivation is, having found the right balance following her pro-career. It is not any more about the competition, but about the shared experience: “I personally place high value on a healthy lifestyle and want to bring this to my immediate environment. B2RUN stands precisely for this message - the joy of sportive exercise and team spirit. The six-kilometre track is manageable for everyone and is rewarded with finishing in some of Germany's biggest stadiums. I’m really looking forward to participating at B2RUN and to sharing the excitement of the experience with so many recreational runners,” said Neuner.

Raising enthusiasm for an active lifestyle

Lars Gerling, Managing Director of Infront B2RUN, added: “With her cheerful nature and proximity to the people, Magdalena Neuner is the perfect ambassador for B2RUN and a great role model. Even during her professionally active period she conveyed the joy of sport, lived her ideals and inspired many people. We are convinced that, together with Magdalena Neuner and the more than 9,000 companies that participate with their staff, we can share our enthusiasm for physical activity and inspire many more Germans to pursue a healthy lifestyle.”
