Fortuna Düsseldorf and Infront bet on addressing market emotionally through Virtual Reality
Main Sponsorship acquired through 360 degree video production and Virtual Reality experience
Düsseldorf, Germany - Fortuna Düsseldorf and Infront turned to 360 degree VR-video to acquire a new Main Sponsor for the 2017/18 season, with Orthomol the latest company to attach themselves to the club. The short clip was shot and edited by Munich agency Inside360, using the latest 360 ° technology and gave an exclusive insight into the world of Fortuna Düsseldorf. Potential sponsors were then given a smartphone with an individually designed version of the clip as well as a virtual reality head set to allow them to experience their first home game as a new Main Sponsor.
Fortuna Düsseldorf began their 2. Bundesliga campaign on Monday, with Orthomol set to appear on the shirts for the first time. The health care company from Langenfeld (Germany) was very impressed by the use of the new technology when first approached by the club: "This creative use of digital technology provides us as spectators with very exclusive behind the scenes footage of the ESPRIT arena and at the same time conveys the special emotions at the club" said Nils Glagau, Chief Executive of Orthomol.
