Full service for the 2018 FIFA World Cup™

Billed as the biggest and most complex sports event on earth, the FIFA World Cup™ attracts millions of viewers around the world. Since 2002 Infront has a history of delivering the World Cup, consistently building on experience, enhancing standards and providing a variety of services. 2018 was no exception, where Infront played an integral and crucial role at the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™.

DELIVERING HIGHEST STANDARD IN TECHNICAL SERVICES

For the 5th time, Infront subsidiary HBS provided host broadcast coverage for FIFA Media Right Licensees with ~2700 staff on site as well as building and operating the International Broadcast Center (IBC). Infront's Broadcaster Servicing team assisted Media Rights Licensees to fulfil their contractual requirements and needs, while Infront Football Media was responsible for selling the media rights into 26 Asian territories. Onsite, Infront's Sports Services team provided and operated 2.7km of state-of-the-art LED stadium advertising systems at all 12 venues to optimally showcase sponsors on the pitch.

ENHANCING THE FAN EXPERIENCE

To help Wanda activate their FIFA Official Partner sponsorship Infront's global partnership team designed and implemented a wide-reaching programme. With the objective to "inspire the next generation of fans", Infront helped Wanda bring nearly 400 children to the matches as part of the flag bearer programme and delivered a cutting-edge digital experience for fans onsite. Finally, Infront's FIFA Films archive service prepared a number of previews and highlights series, including the "Road to the 2018 FIFA World Cup RussiaTM.

ACHIEVEMENTS

  • The 2018 FIFA World CupTM edition was a true success with nearly 3,000 staff working at 12 stadiums in 11 different cities.
