V-ZUG sweep up main sponsor role at World Curling Championships

Three-year agreement to begin at LGT World Women's Curling Championship 2021

Zug, Switzerland/Perth, ScotlandV-ZUG, Switzerland's market-leading white goods company, has been named the official main sponsor of the next three World Curling Championships outside of Canada after an agreement was brokered by Infront, the World Curling Federation’s (WCF) exclusive media and marketing partner.

The partnership will run until the end of the 2022–2023 season and begins at the LGT World Women's Curling Championship 2021 in Schaffhausen, Switzerland from 19–28 March 2021, where the first women's teams will qualify for the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games.

The collaboration also includes the LGT World Men's Curling Championship 2022 and the LGT World Women's Curling Championship 2023.

World Curling Federation President, Kate Caithness, said: "I am delighted to confirm a new three-year partnership with V-ZUG for our Worlds outside of Canada. This announcement is another positive step in curling returning to the ice and sets our sport in good stead for the remainder of the Beijing 2022 Olympic Winter Games cycle and beyond. As a new sponsor to our sport, I would like to welcome them into the curling family and look forward to working together to enhance our flagship events over the next three years."
